Maybe it was during some extraordinarily expensive excursion, or a trip to some exotic place. Or perhaps it was in some local corner shop where the fantastic experience was completely unexpected.
A great customer experience can happen anywhere.
Mostly though, we don’t encounter them every day.
But does that have to be the case?
And what about in your business?
One challenge aspect of running a business is trying to reach that point where you’ve established a reputation that sets your business apart from your competitors.
Do your customers have a fantastic experience each and every time that they connect with you?
Do you have that magic “WOW” factor?
Some of our clients used to say, “But there’s nothing about my business that can have a WOW factor.”
Are you sure about that?
We know that your business DOES HAVE those wow factors… Factors that will truly set your business apart from others.
Working alongside you we’re sure to find those WOW factors that you can leverage…
Take a harder look at your business. What makes your business unique or your quirk?
Allow yourself some time to think about it…
Still unsure?
Here are some of the tips you can apply to define your WOW Factor!
Firstly, be ’empathy ‘ is to try and put yourself in your ideal clients position, who’s thinking of purchasing from you.
- How do you presenting your business overall?
- How easy is it to understand what you’re offering?
- Is it obvious why your ideal customers should buy from you?
- How effective is your customer service before the sales, during and after the sale?
Once you’ve answers those questions and be honest and critical look at you business, then ask yourself the following questions:
- what you could do now. The next step!
- How you could act differently now.
- what could you change to make your customers’ experiences even better than now.
Your WOW factor don’t have to be extraordinary. They can be as simple as returning a call promptly when everyone else in your industry takes days. Or it could be as far out as, for example, a hairdresser greeting customers with a glass of French Champagne or a cup of coffee while they are waiting.
There’s no end of examples and ideas.
Be creative and think outside the square. Consider how you can give your customers a great experience each and every time that they do business with you. Think of what your clients would absolutely love.
Ask yourself this…
- If my business were a six star hotel, or a luxury cruise, what would it be like?
- How would your front entrance feel & look like?
- How would every customer be treated?”
The obvious benefit of each experience with your business having a WOW factor is that you will have thrilled customers. And a follow-up benefit is that they will tell their friends about you too. They won’t just tell them, they will insist that all of their friends try your business. They will become raving fans and your true advocates.
How great would it be to have all of your best customers out there promoting and selling your business for you?
Word of mouth is the cheapest and most powerful advertising for your business.
Just remember this, you need to keep your ideas fresh.
What was once a WOW factor will eventually be yesterday’s news. Make it fun by getting your team involved. Have regular contests for the best WOW idea. Implement one at a time.
It doesn’t matter if you are an art gallery or a hair salon. There’s always a WOW factor in your creative business. All you have to do is to find it.
If you don’t, your competition certainly will…
Our suggestion is for you to spend some time thinking and coming up with ideas in how to go that extra mile for your ideal customers . Once they have a taste of your WOW Factor they start to appreciate the difference and the news will travel fast . The end reward for you is that you’ll discover that people will make an effort to visit you and buy from you.
So what’s your WOW Factor?
