NINE leading artists will be featured in a new exhibition at one Sydney’s edgiest art gallery’s to coincide with the city’s major arts spectacular Spectrum Now.
The ArtSHINE Gallery, in the Chippendale Creative Precinct, on Blackfriars Street, will be one of the prime venues to be hosting one of 150 exhibitions, gigs, talks and events from March 11-29.
“Spectrum Now” seeks to celebrate Sydney’s music, film, dance, theatre, art and design scenes, among others.
It is being supported by The Sydney Morning Herald and overseen by Australian actor and Spectrum Now creative director Richard Roxburgh.
The creators of the ArtSHINE Gallery, Vinh Van Lam and Stuart Horrex have thrown their full weight behind the city festival.
They have announced the first group exhibition of 2015 at the ArtSHINE Gallery called “Colour Spectrum”.
It will include the works of the following artists:
Anthony Van Lam- artist/fashion designer
Denise Campbell– landscape artist
Georgina Smith-Protrait photographer
Helen Dubrovich– mix media painter
Marine Coutroutsios– Hand made paper artist
Pascale Rajek– Abstract artist
Sladjana Adzic– Abstract artist
Short Story- Origami artists
Tanya Wales– Contemporary Abstract artist
The exhibition will be the main activity at the four-storey creative hub over the three-week festival. It will also include art exhibitions, showcasing designers products, demo cooking classes, creative classes and business seminars for Creative Professionals.
There will also be a market on the last day of the festival where art, and craft lovers will be able to buy original artwork and designer products such as jewellery, fashion, gift and homeware and gourmet food from 20 participating stalls.
For those looking for a bite to eat and sampling some of the finest coffee in the city, they need look no further than the CoSydney Coffeehouse, which is incorporated within the creative hub.
