The Pantone Colour Institute came to the conclusion of these colours by surveying the designers of New York Fashion Week and beyond. The Pantone Color Institute has also noted that the reason the designers are using these colours is to “satisfy consumers’ need to escape everyday challenges with intriguing color combinations that transport them to foreign lands”.Understandably, the key position goes to none other than the rose/magenta mix called Honeysuckle, which was named the Colour to go to for 2011.
There are 10 key colours on Pantone’s new list, including a vivid sky-blue called Regatta (18-4039) and a warm orange named Coral Rose (16-1349). A bright mustard-hue known as Beeswax (14-0941) and sea foam tone Peapod (14-6324) round out the top 5.”
