What is Asia Live?
Asia Live is a vibrant, three-week festival that brings the heart of Asia to the streets of Sydney. Proudly supported by City of Sydney, this dynamic event transforms Haymarket into a living cultural experience—where tradition meets creativity, and community comes alive.
More than just a festival, Asia Live is a celebration of identity, storytelling, and shared heritage. It invites visitors to explore the richness of Asian cultures through immersive installations, live performances, food, art, and interactive experiences.

From 3 to 19 April 2026, Asia Live unfolds as a multi-layered experience designed to engage all ages and backgrounds.

Immerse yourself in a specially designed festival sound experience.
Curated by Vinh Van Lam and ArtSHINE Music, the soundscape features a continuous loop of music created to complement the lantern paths and cultural atmosphere—enhancing emotion, storytelling, and connection throughout the festival.

The Cultural Parade Experience
One of the highlights of Asia Live is the Cultural Parade, a joyful expression of unity through diversity.
Parade Schedule (Key Highlights)
- 5:30 PM – Meet near the main stage (Little Hay St side)
- 6:00 – 6:15 PM – Cultural Parade begins
- Route includes the Gate of Asia and Sanctuary of Asia
- Led by Japan, followed by Indonesia, Korea, Peranakan, Thailand, Philippines, and China
- 6:20 PM – Parade concludes at the main stage
- 6:25 PM – Welcome to Country
- 6:30 PM – VIP speeches
- 6:45 PM – Ribbon cutting & photo moment
- 7:05 PM – First stage performance (Japan team)
