“Dog & Kitten” & moi
At ArtSHINE, we believe every artist carries a light — not just through their work, but through the way they live, reflect, and contribute to the creative world around them.
Our Bright Stars are artists who lead with authenticity, courage, and purpose, reminding us that creativity is not just a career path, but a way of being.
This week, we are honoured to spotlight Medyhne Lebachen — a multi-disciplinary creative whose practice spans visual art, writing, music, broadcasting. Through her work, Medyhne invites us to pause, listen, and reconnect — to ourselves, to one another, and to the deeper questions that shape our humanity.
From her expressive art practice to her powerful YouTube and radio platform Arise Humanity, Medyhne’s creative journey is one of intention, compassion, and fearless self-expression. As a member of the ArtSHINE accelerator and an artist preparing for her solo exhibition Animal Whimsy in November 2026, she continues to evolve with clarity and purpose — reminding us that art can be both deeply personal and profoundly collective.
We’re delighted to share her story.
1. Can you tell us about your creative journey so far?
I am all about creativity. I have always sung a lot! I began with writing songs & music in my teens, then later recording them, then touring regions of Victoria with my “Touch The Sun – Songs of Angels” Tour & CD.
I have always enjoyed writing & I wrote a poetry book called “Hilhairyass Poems” in 2015 which was picked up by an Aussie publisher Heartspace Books & released in that year. This year my second book of spiritual fiction called “Mirror of Creation” has been picked up by another wonderful Aust publisher called Contempo Publishing & will be published & released later this year (2026).
Although I have loved dabbling in painting for many years I have focused on painting as my full time business for the last few years y west here : https://www.medyhne.com/ I have painted over 25 Canvasses large & small from 2024-2025, some of which will be featured in my new book coming out this year.
It is my goal to focus on painting & writing plus maybe record & write some more songs until I take my final breath which hopefully will be a long way away (lol!)
Creatively I have also loved hosting multiple radio shows over the years both in Australia & overseas- at healthylife.net a USA radio network with a global reach. I have no plans (or time) to do this again in the foreseeable future though.
Finally I am in the final production phase of making a Documentary called “The New Golden Age” with my partner. We hope to gain wide distribution for it & it is an uplifting documentary to inspire community unity & a better world at https://www.medyhne.com/documentary/
We would love to continue creating in this medium ..film & documentaries long term also if it is received well.
2. What first drew you to art, and how has your practice evolved over time?
I have barely ever had an Art lesson. It is all mainly intuitive. I just love creating! One day I picked up a canvas & thought I will try to paint something. I was pleasantly surprised that it was. Not too bad (lol!) So I continued dabbling here & there over the years & my paintings & skills somehow just got better & better … I love now to paint brightly colourful & whimsical topics & scenes like animals & mystical topics of mermaids & fairies. Also I like to paint what I call radiant designs … I am very excited now about my first Solo Exhibition through Art SHINE coming up in November 2026.
3. Your work spans visual art, writing, music, and broadcasting. How do these creative disciplines connect for you?
Creatively all these areas intersect well. It all comes from the same spiritual & Divine inspiration & I tune in intuitively to what I feel like expressing. Film & Documentary are a fantastic medium because you can throw in EVERYTHING… art…songs…music… words… in one BIG bundle! It is also about sharing your energy with the world & striving to leave a positive & uplifting footprint behind…in whatever creative form.
4. What does your day-to-day art practice look like? Are there rituals or routines that support your creativity?
I like to tune in to a higher source of energy…The Divine… God Whatever you want to call it. I know it is beyond my human finite self. I sometimes pray or meditate. I love to be in nature, ground my energy & wade through the ocean as much as possible.

5. Your YouTube and radio platform Arise Humanity is deeply meaningful. What inspired you to create it, and what message do you hope it brings to the world?
Thank you kindly for such a lovely question. I had higher guidance to create it years ago … striving to help bring positive & inspiring videos to the world at a time of deep transformation we are all navigating individually & collectively. Whether it is the interviews with people from all over the globe or creative videos with art or music etc I believe that people need to see things which raise their frequency & give them connect in these turbulent times. Ultimately I believe Mother Earth & much of humanity will evolve & ascend however it is a confusing & divisive time for many.
6. If you had to describe yourself and your art in five words, what would they be — and why?
Ok sure- spiritual (as that is my core Self & motivation – we are all first spiritual beings), creative (I believe we are here to create & it is a gift we have all been given here) progressive (I like to think that I am able to foresee the overall picture quite well & help steer a positive ship) intuitive (I exist hopefully as much as possible in the higher flow of Divine inspiration & connection) industrious (I am always inspired to create something while on this Earth)
7. How did you first discover ArtSHINE, and what made you decide to join the accelerator program?
I was really inspired to share my Art in a wider way. ArtSHINE seems the perfect vehicle to do this through licensing etc. I was also really empowered to pursue this goal & the Accelerator Program when I chatted to Vinh who is very spiritual also & feels very aligned with my energy & goals to succeed. Basically I knew I had to be a part of it & my goal is to continue my connection with ArtSHINE & VINH for my whole life!
8. What has your experience been like working within the ArtSHINE accelerator so far?
I have really enjoyed learning & working with Vinh in the accelerator Program. Frankly there is always so much to learn as an Artist in not only the creation of paintings but in getting your art out to a wider audience Vinh is very knowledgeable & wants to help as much as possible… which I love. I am very grateful to be part of this wonderful Agency.

9. You are preparing for your solo exhibition Animal Whimsy in November 2026. What inspired this body of work, and what can audiences expect?
Yes I am very excited about it. It will be a magical journey through colour, whimsy, the inner child & uplifting energy of the artwork. Animals will star in all their glory. They are inherently spiritual & part of God’s library. We are so blessed to be surrounded by a multitude of lifeforms in this world which make such a rich tapestry for us to enjoy & benefit. Animals are such a gift to us & I like to think my paintings reflect my deep reverence & love for all of nature’s wildlife.
10. Many artists struggle with confidence, visibility, and sustainability. What advice would you offer artists who are still finding their voice?
Just keep doing what you love regardless of the judgements, financial outcomes & inner criticism. We are here to create & in fact it is our duty to express our soul through creativity so the world can know who we truly are.
11. Many artists come to art through unexpected paths. Was there a previous career or chapter in your life before art became central, and how has it influenced your creative journey?
Funnily enough I was living on Russell Island in QLD for 18 months & I did 1 or 2 paintings & then I moved to Redcliffe QLD (home of the Bee Gees growing up!) & painted about 20 canvasses (some HUGE!) in 12 months. I believe energetically locations can make BIG difference to your energy, inspiration & creativity. It was from this point I knew I wanted to focus more seriously on my art.
12. Looking ahead, what are you most excited about in your creative future?
Actually this year I have 3 major creative milestones which I am really excited about.
The publishing & launching of my book in 2026 – Mirror of Creation.
My solo exhibition “Animal Whimsy” in Sydney at ArtSHINE in Nov 2026.
The completion & maybe distribution this year of our Documentary “The New Golden Age.”
